Type PPB is a blue Sensitive, high speed, general purpose medical imaging film. This high contrast film, which is resistant to handling artifacts, allows for optimum diagnostic clarity. New emulsion technology gives Type PPB film excellent antistatic characteristics. Type PPG is an orthochromatic film. This green sensitive, high speed imaging film is designed for maximum detail visibility and smooth, low noise images. As a result of Konica’s high-ortho technology, Type PPG film exhibits excellent image sharpness and outstanding processing stability. Type PB7 is a blue sensitive, half speed film featuring mono-dispersed grain technology for outstanding image quality. This high contrast film is designed to provide optimum diagnostic clarity for a wide range of examinations. Type PB7 is recommended for use with either blue rare earth intensifying screens or any other blue-emitting screen. Safelight Recommendations The safelight recommendations for Type PPB, and Type PB7 film is the Wratten 6-B, GBX, GS-1, or equivalent. Type PPG film should be used with a GBX or equivalent safelight. Storage All Physicians Choice film should be stored in a cool (50° to 70°F [20° to 21°C] and dry (40% to 50% relative humidity) place. Boxes should be placed off the floor in a vertical position. The film storage area should never be subjected to chemical or other fumes, dust, radiation, or radioactive materials. Routinely rotate film inventory in order to keep film from becoming outdated. Handling Physicians Choice film, like all radiograhic films should always be handled with care to avoid pressure marks, creasing, buckling and fingerprints. Processing. Types PPB, PG, and PB7 are compatible with all name brand chemistries and are designed for all automatic and hand tank processing cycles.
