Flow X-Ray's HDX redefines high definition X-ray. The accuracy and range of the microprocessor-controlled timer allows you to use the fastest speed available film or the latest digital imaging systems -- significantly reducing both patient radiation exposure and image blurring caused by patient movement during an exposure. CEP™ Makes the Difference The HDX system's power-packed CEP (Constant Emission Power) X-ray beam is emitted continuously during an exposure utilizing "constant potential" technology rather than in bursts as in conventional systems. This technical innovation reduces exposure times about in half which reduces the possibility of image unsharpness caused by patient movement. Also, CEP produces more X-ray energy to which the X-ray film and digital sensors are more sensitive and, as a result, less X-ray energy is required to produce an X-ray imaage. In fact, "constant potential dental X-ray machines can reduce radiation dose by up to 30%...".* *Compendium Report, May 1993, Vol XIV, No. 5, article X-radiation: Potential Risks and Dose Reduction Mechanisms." The HDX is Very Accommodating The horizontal reach of the standard arm will easily accommodate a two-operatory swing-through layout. And for those operatories where space is limited, an optional short arm is also available. The lightweight tubehead and superior arm balance combine to provide easy, drift-free positioning. Fully compatible with all imaging systems, including digital. |
| The HDX with CEP produces radiographs with an advantageous blend between high contrast for caries detection, and the
broad gray scale for visualization of tissue and of minor density variations. High definition radiography means clear,
sharp, detailed results each and every time. And with the ability to make exposures as short as 0.01 second, the HDX is
compatible with all brands of Digital Imaging Devices which require shorter exposures than even the fastest speed X-ray
films. Advantages | ![]() |
