The Radiograph Digital Converter (RDC) is an exciting innovation for veterinary radiology! This state of the art
system allows you to capture high quality DICOM and/or jpg images of your radiographs and automatically save them to
your network. The RDC also enables you to save your digitized radiographs directly to the client/patient file in most
Windows® based practice management software. Your practice can now easily take advantage of telemedicine services,
e-mail radiograph images to clients and have instant access to your radiograph images from any computer. Many practices
cannot afford the high cost of digital X-Ray systems or expensive radiograph scanners. This unit allows you to have all
the benefits of digitized radiographs while continuing to use your existing films. For those practices that have made
the leap to digital radiography, the RDC allows you to archive old film into your new CR or DR system. Emergency
practices will also find the RDC very useful as most emergency case films are returned to the referring veterinarian,
therefore, the RDC is a great way to digitize and store a copy of these images to the electronic medical record. An
extended Support/Warranty package is available. The RDC is easy to use and comes with thirty days of free technical
support.PLEASE NOTE: This unit is intended for the veterinary market. As such it is NOT FDA 910(k) approved for use in human radiography where the images will be used for diagnostic purposes. Customers purchasing this system for any sort of human based application inside of the USA will be required to sign a waiver prior to our processing of your order. FEATURES: . . . . . . . |
. .SPECIFICATIONS: Size: 20¾" deep X 14½" wide X 18¾" tall (52.7mm deep X 36.83mm wide X 47.6mm tall). Weight: 24.3lbs (11kg). Computer Interface: USB. Scan Speed: With a powerful computer and an HDR setting of three, 40 seconds @ medium resolution
(6mp mode), and 65 second @ high-resolution (10mp mode). Add 10 seconds per pass in HDR 5 + 10-15 seconds for processing
each additional pass. HDR Modes: "High Dynamic Range" mode is where the scanner takes several scans of the image at
different exposure/brightness levels and then averages all of the passes together to further enhance the image's dynamic
range (latitude) beyond the range of the scanning camera alone. Software currently allows HDR modes of 3 and 5 - meaning
the system will take 3 or 5 passes and then averages those together into a single image with wider dynamic range of the
grayscale. These extra passes, as well as the time to process and average the passes adds additional processing time to
the scan. Resolution & Greyscale Depth: Medium mode is a 6 mega pixel(mp) producing an
image which is 2112 x 2816 (150dpi) from a full 14"x17" film. High mode is 10mp and produces an image which is 2736 x
3648 (195dpi) from a full 14"x17" film. Higher resolutions can be obtained by zooming into a smaller area of a film.
Greyscale depth in standard mode is 8bit (256 levels of gray). In HDR mode this jumps up to 12Bit (4096 levels of
gray). File Sizes (typical): Medium produces a jpg which is approx 1.5mb in size. High produces a jpg which is
approx.4.0mb in size. | ![]() |
