General X-Ray Foam Positioning Aid Kits

STANDARD FOAM
A first quality, fine cell, charcoal gray ester foam that is soft to the touch, but strong enough to withstand repeated washing, boiling, or autoclaving. Infab Corporation's "Standard Foam", aptly named for its reputation as the industry standard, is one of the lowest density foams available and will not shadow or artifact. An outstanding choice for all of your facilities patient positioning block needs. Also makes an exceptional choice for table pads!

SUPER FOAM
Our exclusive formula closed cell EVA foam that absolutely will not stain or absorb liquids of any kind, including blood, barium or betadyne. Unlike competitors "coated" blocks, Super Foam is impervious to liquids, even when punctured or torn. Because of its unique closed cell properties, Super Foam may produce very slight artifacts under certain low level imaging conditions, however, if you are tired of your positioning blocks soiling or absorbing fluids, rendering them useless, Super Foam is an outstanding alternative. Super Foam is more firm than Standard Foam and makes an excellent positioning block. Not recommended for table pads.
Special note: Due to the manufacturing process on Super Foam, be aware that any exposure taken at or below 80 kVp runs a slight chance that glue lines will artifact.

TEMPER FOAM
Originally designed for NASA and used in the Space Shuttle Program, Temper Foam is now being utilized for an extensive array of products where absolute comfort is a must. Temper Foam "molds" to the body. It is ideally suited for table pads in Cath Labs, the O.R. or any environment where extended procedures are common. The absolute best in patient comfort!

NOTE: Infab will cut any custom size triangle or rectangle you want. Simply provide us with the "A,B,C,D" (see picture. A = degree of angle) dimensions you want, tell us if you want Standard Foam or Super Foam and Infab will have your special block to you in no time!
