Pigg-O-Stat Pediatric Immobilizer & Positioner.

For immobilizing and positioning of infants for radiographic, fluoroscopic and other medical examinations. Gives better quality radiographs with more precise positioning and radiation protection in less than one tenth normal time with less than one half of one percent repeats. Designed by a technician with many years experience with the many problems encountered in immobilizing and positioning infants and children. Radiation to personnel entirely eliminated. Scale in degree readings on table top insures exact duplication of positions for re-check examinations. Greatly reduces psychological trauma to patients and stress and strain on parents. Elimination of position and immobilizing problems makes it easier to make exposure at proper stage of respiration. Seat platform turns on ball bearings also horizontal movement of cassette carriers. Other moving parts are heavy plexiglass.

Adjustable seat in center of table top with openings for patient’s legs. Seat platform can be rotated horizontally to any degree and position. Form-fitting body, head and arm supports of transparent plexiglass are provided. Adjustable for patients from infants to 3-1/2 years of age. Lead shield has adjustable conventional markers and adjusts up and down for various examinations. Spring balanced cassette holder accommodates any size cassette needed. Radi-Cradle.

This device provides total infant restraint and reduces the number of retakes caused by patient movement. Once the child is positioned in the cradle with soft cotton straps, the rest of the positioning can be done by moving the cradle, not the infant. The Radi-Cradle accommodates a child 1-3 years old or up to 60lbs. It is constructed of high impact resistant acrylic and comes with 4 soft cotton straps with Velcro. Available in two lengths.

Multi-Strap.

Multi-Strap is a Velcro strap that has the soft side of Velcro and the Hook side of Velcro affixed back to back. It is as strong as tape but soft to the skin. It is also reusable, radiolucent, and easily applied. It can be cut to any length.
