The fully-functional 550/555's versatility and exceptional quality make it the right stretcher for ED, OR, PACU or virtually any department in your facility. Pneumatic Assist Positioning Easy pneumatic-assist Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg are standard. Special mechanical level lock automatically stops stretcher at exactly horizontal when returning from positioning. Choose pneumatic, manual or crank Fowler controls. Tuck-Away Side Rails Full-length curved side rails make patients more secure. Access to patients is easier. Exclusive Tuck-Away Side rails won't pinch fingers or tubes. They tuck away quickly below the litter top, out of the way. Infection Control Cleaning is easy for Fowler or full-length X-ray stretcher. Exclusive tilt-up, one-piece top on the full length X-ray version allows complete access. Hands-free Height Adjustment Hands-free hydraulic height adjustment is smooth and easy. The large T-pedal allows operation from end or sides of stretcher. Optional head-end hydraulic controls are also available. Leg Lift/Knee Flex/Trauma A smooth-functioning hand crank quickly achieves these vital positions: Zero Transfer Gap Position the 550/555 flush with the bed for zero transfer gap and easier patient transfer. The folding IV Pole tucks out of the way; stays connected to the stretcher. Ease of Transport Precision casters make stretcher easier to maneuver, even on carpet. Lock wheels from any corner. Optional 5th Wheel Steering is also available. Push-Pull Handles Push-pull handles are integrated into each end of the side rails. Total X-Ray Capability Full-length x-ray capability is available without removing the patient from the stretcher. Load it on the end or side. No clumsy trays or sliding devices.
